Prof. Ir. Sigit Nugroho, M.Sc., Ph.D.

born in Surakarta in 1960. He finished his Elementary and High School in Yogyakarta. Graduated from SMA Negeri III ‘Padmanaba’ Yogyakarta, he continued studying at Institut Pertanian Bogor starting 1980, and completed his Bachelor degree / Sarjana Statistika (Ir.) in 1984 from the Department of Statistics – College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – Institut Pertanian Bogor. He has been working as a lecturer at Universitas Bengkulu since 1986.

Under the supervision of Zakkula Govindarajulu, Ph.D., he finished his dissertation entitled “On the Locally Most Powerful Rank Test of the Two-way Experiment” and received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the field of Statistics and graduated in May 1994. His professorship was awarded in 2009.

He has been teaching several courses in the area of statistics such as linear models, experimental designs, nonparametric statistics, multivariate analysis, mathematical statistics and research methodology. Recent research area is closely related but not restricted to multivariate analysis, linear models, experimental design and nonparametric statistics..
